Some may call it cute, but the Suzuki Hustler is all business at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon.
Originally debuting as a concept at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki made the Hustler a reality last year and it was quickly named the 2015 RJC Car of the Year by the Automotive Researchers’ and Journalists’ Conference of Japan. Launching in early 2014 the Hustler quickly nearly 87,000 units leading up to November marking it as a popular city car in Japan. Unfortunately, North Americans will never see it despite models like the Jeep Renegade arriving here.
2015 Tokyo Auto Salon Coverage
To show off the versatility of the little hatch, the Japanese automaker presented the Hustler Roadbike Style at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon, fitting it with metallic-yellow paintwork contrasted by black graphics and paint on the roof, A- and B-pillars while the side mirrors get a silver treatment. On all four corners are 17-inch mesh-style wheels while a bike rack on the roof supports all the goodies the rear can fit.
Joining the Hustler Roadbike Style is the Hustler Outdoor Style, sporting a bright green paint finish with a raised ride height for additional clearance. The roof has been finished in white while a multicolored stripe runs down the top of the vehicle and mirrors.
