Suzuki is no longer selling cars in North America, but the brand is still tasked with making sure that its existing cars are safe.

Which is why Suzuki is calling back about 26,000 midsize sedans in the U.S. which are prone to overheating daytime running light modules that can cause a fire. The recall affects the 2004 through 2006 Suzuki Verona, and is an expansion of a previous recall that affected the Forenza and Reno models.

The cars were manufactured in Korea by General Motors for Suzuki. No fires have been reported according to the company, and dealers will replace the light modules free of charge.
